You see, the way we see people, objects or situations affects the way we treat them, and the way we treat them affects the way they behave. So our spouses, partners, children, relatives, co-workers, employees, bosses, classmates etc treat us the way they do because we expect them to be so. – the “Pygmalion effect.”

According to Greek mythology; Pygmalion was a Cypriot sculptor who carved a woman out of ivory, and fell in love with his creation because it was fair and beautiful.
