I know a lot of people that had one dream or the other – in fact they still have them, but they do nothing about their dreams and goals. Most of them are too scared of public opinion to dare act on them. Friends, great ideas are always laughed at, rejected, and opposed in the beginning. Most of the originators of the ideas were considered foolish, and some were even referred to mental health institutions for rehabilitation.
Many of the things that you use today; even the things you are being taught about in schools today, were at one time the radical ideas of individuals who had the courage to believe what their own hearts and minds told them was true, rather than accept the common beliefs of their day. Who would have thought that coloured water will be a multi-billion dollar industry today – pioneered by Coca Cola? Imagine 25 years ago, that water freely given by God, will be packaged in bottles and transformed into a billion dollar industry?
Folks whatever dreams you have, have the courage to hold on to them and pursue them with all your being. Of course people will criticize you and consider your ideas to be dumb. Often time that is a pointer to the fact that your dreams/ideas are really gold, but this also is the point where most people give up on their dreams.
Never let the criticism of others discourage you, because often when people categorize something as wrong or bad, it is because they do not possess the right size of vision to see its importance and success in the near future. The people who make it far enough in life are the ones who are courageous enough to think and walk differently from the crowd. If Steve Jobs had accepted the words and discouragements of others, there wouldn’t be any Apple product today.
Remember, “the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who actually do.” Be bold. Be courageous. Believe. Live your greatest life.
