What is righteous in being small?

There is nothing in the original design of the creator for us to be weak, struggling, poor, unhealthy, unachieving or unsuccessful. But sadly this has become the norm for many of us, we seem to have bought the lie sold us by society, that only a lucky few, the royals, the geniuses, the special class of humans, the people of a particular race or clime are suppose to live and have everything going on for them.

Daily you find someone you know directly or indirectly, who has suddenly given up on his/her dreams; given up on love; given up on the desire and hope of a meaningful life, and have been sucked up by pool of negativity. These individuals because they’ve tried and failed have refused to try again. Some didn’t even bother to try, but saw or heard about others who have failed ahead of them and so they gave up too.

This needn’t be your tale my friends. You were designed for greatness; to live freely, aim high, and have dominion. You have been called to be the head and not the tail. You are the light of the world, you duty is to let your light shine so bright that other lives are illumined by you. You have glory in you. You are to thrive in your blessings and press continuously towards your dreams.

Knowing this are you willing to do that? It takes will, but you have got it in you, you just need to decide now to act. Stop playing small there is no righteousness in being little. God wants to show off with you. He himself says, “I said you are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High God…”

Think about that. Yet right to this moment you’ve been playing small, trying to hide your abilities, thinking you are undeserving or unqualified for a better and meaningful existence. You spend your time and your existence recording the history made by others instead of going out to make your own. Make a choice today to go after that abandoned dream, to live life, to find that love, to dare to be do or have whatever you desire. Live your greatest life!

  1. Amen to this message. I was just thinking about this over the weekend. Successful individuals have the self confidence to be outspoken and take action and they build connections and gain influence. Then the masses follow them in awe and with amazement. They will refer to what these individuals do and say, trying to take actions to please these successful individuals in order to gain recognition. My question is; “what does these successful individuals have that the rest of us don’t have to begin with?” The only answer I can come up with is “attitude”. And I do not mean that in a negative sense, I mean that in a positive sense. It is an attitude of confidence. We as Christians should have no problem with that if we know our true identity in Christ. The Bible says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. We are all created equal, so none of us should be making any excuses. We fail because we doubt, and doubt leads to fear, which is the opposite of having faith. Thank you for this wake up call.
