When Hard Work isn’t Enough

Every day, we hear or read from some of the world’s leading thinkers, teachers, philosophers, spiritualists, Psychologists, Coaches, and influencers tell us about our potentials, about the greatness in us; about the gifts of God deposited in our minds, with only a fraction of it being used. Many of us believe and know these truths.

Yet we are letting discouragement, worry and fear grip us and ruin our lives and relationships when we could be happy. We let ourselves get old when we could stay young and attractive. We are doing all kinds of things to our bodies to make us ill when could be strong and healthy.

We are timid and self-conscious when we could be radiant and brimming with self-confidence. We remain failures financially and otherwise when we could be hugely successful. Continue reading When Hard Work isn’t Enough

Who Should We Listen to?

Who should we listen to? Many of us are always looking for information and advice about our life challenges, but unfortunately we meet the wrong people for this information, and sometimes we end up worsening our situation after applying the techniques and principles we were offered.

I have seen many relationships destroyed, I have seen businesses go under, I have seen people lost jobs, I have seen people miss their purpose just by listening to the wrong people. I believe someone reading this can relate with this; if you’ve gone for counselling or attended a coaching course and still have your issues unresolved despite the amount of money you paid. – It doesn’t mean that the people aren’t qualified, but simply they are not for you.

So who then do we listen to? The best person to listen to, or talk to, or learn from concerning your situation or dreams and goals, is the person who has been where you are and who has what you desire. If you are struggling, going through challenges and poverty, but desire to be successful, you just can’t go and learn from someone who was born into wealth, someone who hasn’t known what it is like to always live on the edge, because they obviously haven’t experienced what you are going through and can’t teach you anything about rising from your position. What is righteous in being small?

There is nothing in the original design of the creator for us to be weak, struggling, poor, unhealthy, unachieving or unsuccessful. But sadly this has become the norm for many of us, we seem to have bought the lie sold us by society, that only a lucky few, the royals, the geniuses, the special class of humans, the people of a particular race or clime are suppose to live and have everything going on for them.

Daily you find someone you know directly or indirectly, who has suddenly given up on his/her dreams; given up on love; given up on the desire and hope of a meaningful life, and have been sucked up by pool of negativity. These individuals because they’ve tried and failed have refused to try again. Some didn’t even bother to try, but saw or heard about others who have failed ahead of them and so they gave up too.

This needn’t be your tale my friends. You were designed for greatness; to live freely, aim high, and have dominion. You have been called to be the head and not the tail. You are the light of the world, you duty is to let your light shine so bright that other lives are illumined by you. You have glory in you. You are to thrive in your blessings and press continuously towards your dreams. Continue reading What is righteous in being small?

Everybody Can Teach You Something

Some of us are waiting to hear from God about our purpose, career, life calling, relationships, marriages, money, success, school, health, and so on. We pray, attend churches/seminars/workshops hoping to finally hear or have a divine solution towards that life’s problem.

Doesn’t God speak anymore? of course He does, as the scripture says, “Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.” Every day passing day each of us is  being spoken to, we are being offered solutions to our problems and challenges, yet the world is still filled with people who are yearning for more.

Maybe the reason you don’t hear God is because you are looking for a divine medium to talk to you. You fail to realize that you can learn from and are encouraged/challenged/blessed by everyone, every situation and every experience. You see, everyone you encounter; the beggar on the street, the child passing along the way, the neighboInspiratr you are not in terms with, the co-passenger in the bus you travel in; the challenge you are going through; that misunderstanding with your spouse/partner…all have something for you to learn. THE VALUE OF GIVING BEFORE TRYING TO RECEIVE

I strongly believe that nothing we give or do to those who are in need can go without some form of adequate reward. Usually you get more than the quantity you gave. According to the bible book of Luke chapter six verse eight; “give and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure- pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” This passage asserts to the principle that you get more benefits when you give. This means that you possibly get ten or a hundred times more value for every giving act rendered.
Too often this quoted scripture is used to imply the giving of money, but money isn’t the only object of giving. We can give in so any ways; we can give our time and attention, we give…

Does your spouse/partner have to change before you can love them completely? Personally I think not. I believe love should be unconditional, as there isn’t any flawless human out there. And to the guys who are frustrating their spouses/partners out of the relationships by demanding that they change to fit the perfect image of a lady they have in their heads, they could learn a thing or two from Bruno Mars’ song Just the way you are.

Here are a few tips: Continue reading Don’t Change Her, Just Love Her – Love Lessons From Bruno Mars

You Can Succeed The Way You Are!

Recently I have caught myself in the act of always thinking about the things I lacked. I will focus on the things going bad and wrong within me instead of my dreams and goals thereby stalling in my achievements. I believe I am not alone in this. There are some of us who when thinking and considering their lives, all they can see is the many unpaid bills, the debts, the divorces, the failed relationships, their negative habits, and so on.

Many of us are not being helped by the overly righteous friends and relationships we keep who are unfailing in their self imposed responsibilities of pointing the many blemishes that are in our lives, and painting a saintly image of themselves.

Folks if you find yourself in this situation where you all you can see about you are negatives do not worry, as there isn’t anyone who is too good that there isn’t any bad in them, or too bad that there isn’t any good in them.

There is nothing wrong with your negativities and shortcomings. We human beings are told by others that our negativities are our defeat. When you start to label your feelings, emotions, and activities as being negative by others’ standards, you are judging yourself according to others’ standards.
