You Are Responsible!

No woman has ever given birth to a Writer, Teacher, Footballer, Doctor, Architect etc. they give birth to boys and girls. Whatever we become in life, we came about by choice, education and training. As a matter of fact, I’ve never seen where a woman has given birth to a success or to a failure. It’s always either a boy or a girl.

When we succeed in life, we often tend to take full credit. We tell anyone and everyone who cares to listen how we’ve become successful, how we are living our dreams. But when we fail…

Why Go On?

Life is filled with troubles. Today, in all parts of the world, almost everyone is touched by one sort of challenge, difficulty, tragedy, or the other. Sometimes, these challenges are so severe that some of us feel utterly hopeless about life, we see no light at the end of the tunnel, and ask ourselves – Why go on in life?

If this is the case with you right now, I want you to know there is hope, just as the Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:8;  “We are hard-pressed in every way, but not cramped beyond movement; we are perplexed, but not absolutely with no way out.” You see, I believe that no matter how distressing or difficult your situation is right now, it can change for the better. Even if you’re your situation seem permanent, or irreversible, for example; suppose you have a terminal illness…

Commitment Brings Luck

2015 is about to end. For most of us, we are still far away from our goals…if we had any. You see I have discovered that a lot of people that claim to have goals don’t have any at all, they only have wishes but unfortunately wishes hardly get fulfilled in this life. The only thing that gets fulfilled is a dream/goal/vision that is backed by action.

When I interact with people, most of them wish and hope that next year will be better than this year. Guys next year won’t be better than this year if you keep doing what you are doing. The only way next year will be better for you is if you determine to make it so by taking deliberate steps to change your life.

Success in life demands constant push and efforts. People who depend on luck/wishes are always disappointed. Think about this, don’t you think you have waited too long to be lucky before you start? Imagine how your life would have been transformed; imagine the things you would’ve accomplished, the places you would’ve gone had you started on your dreams already. Think Forward, Move Forward

oldest runnerWe have been told in the Bible that “we have a goodly heritage”, “a hope and a future” a glorious future, yet many of us after months and years of hustling, striving and pursuing our goals don’t seem to be getting any nearer to living these promises. What then could be wrong?

For some of you, if you really want to be, do or have this glorious existence that has been promised us, you must leave your past behind. One of the reasons why you are not making it now is you spend too much time in the past. Friends except the past inspires you to do things better and work smarter, you must stop going back to relive it.

Be done with regrets over missed opportunities, seeming failures and bitter disappointments except they serve to warn you of their reoccurrence. Be done with thinking about “what might have been” or “what might have happened”, “had I done this and that” and think only of what shall be or what shall happen. Are You Living At Your Best?

Vincent Egoro

Yes. Are you living at your best? Is the life you are living the best you could have lived? Are the results you’ve achieved the best possible for you? Is what you are doing now the best you could have done? Think about this for a second. I am not saying you should compare yourself to others, and what life they are living. I mean, compared to your potentials, your talents, your capabilities, your education, are you living your best life?

The truth is, so many of us are not living at our best. Instead, we settle and become comfortable with the level we are “because we are afraid to climb the mountains of life. The steepness and ruggedness discourages us, so we stay in the midst of the valley and never learn the mystery of the hills. We do not know what is lost by our…

God’s Ways are Higher

Someone asked me recently, “Why do you talk of the God factor in your posts, and who says one can’t succeed with Him?”

Well here is my response; it is my strong opinion that you may read many good books, hear much motivational, inspirational or personal development messages or messages and make strong personal resolutions and goals, if you don’t have the spirit of God consciously active in your life, you will not reach true greatness.

God makes it easy, so why do you want to labour and struggle when free guidance and help is available to you? While it is good to fill your mind with rich and valuable information on self help, their true value to you will depend on whether you make practical use of what you have leaned. WHAT AM I BECOMING BECAUSE OF YOU?

Who are your friends and how do they affect you? The relationships you have can either enhance your life or they can drain you. There are talented people who have lots of potentials in them, but because they didn’t surround themselves with other people that will inspire them to transcend themselves, they will never realize their greatness and might end up going to their graves with all their gifts still in them.
Folks you have to be selective about the people you have around as friends, because the law of average states that the result of any given situation will be the average of all the outcomes. Famous motivational speaker and Author Jim Rohn further explain this law by saying that “we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with”.
We are greatly influenced whether we like it or not by those closest to us…

Stop Looking For Faults, Start Looking For Good

One of the characteristics of people who are not doing very well with their lives is, they are top complainers and whiners. They never can find anything good about their lives and the environment they find themselves. Folks what you focus on, expands and successful people are using this to their advantage.

Haven’t you notice that successful people never talk about how bad the economy is, how high things in the market have gone up, or how many bad breaks they are having? Instead they focus on what’s good, what’s working, or what’s beautiful about them…they always try to find the good in every situation they find themselves in.

Do you want to end this year on high note? Develop the habit of finding the good in every situation. Stop talking about the negative things around you. Stop looking for the things that ain’t working in your life. If you are a Christian, you should be familiar with a powerful scripture that says, Ask and it shall be given to you, knock and the door shall be open to you, seek and you shall find. So here is a question for you, what are you seeking in your life? Continue reading Stop Looking For Faults, Start Looking For Good

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE UP TO LIVE YOUR DREAMS?

Many of us talk about the kind of life we want to live, the things we want to achieve, the places we want to be, the kind of relationships we want to have. For example, you may be reading this and you have been talking about being a successful entrepreneur, a bestselling author, a thought leader, a coach etc. while it is good to dream and talk about your dreams, here is a question for you, “What are you willing to give up, in order to have the life you keep saying you want?”

Two years ago I was asked that question, when I was struggling to become a speaker. I knew my higher purpose was to inspire others to live their best lives, but I was letting too many stuff get in the way. Then I met a mentor who asked me, Vincent what are you willing to give up, so that you can have the life you keep talking and dreaming about? In responding, I thought I had to only give up the bad habits, the things I didn’t love doing but he said, hey, that’s easy, you must also give up the things you love that are getting in the way of you following your dreams.

Folks your dreams require focused attention. So the reason why most of us haven’t reached that height we talk about is because we let too many stuff get in the way. Maybe like me you may have to really take a look at your lives and do some purging. What are you saying YES to that is making you say NO to your dream?
