“He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” – Matthew 10:39
You can’t live fully without taking risks in life. And the one regret most people have at the end of their lives is the fact that they didn’t take many risks; all the opportunities they did not seize and all the fears they did not face. Never live to regret on your dying day.
To live your greatest life, you have to take risks and face your fears. Of course you will encounter challenges and obstacles which may cause you to trip and fall along the way, but that is part of the growth process. Every mistake you make along the way will help prepare you for the success of tomorrow.
“And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh…” – Exodus 7:1
Never accept the negativity others may spill on you because if you do, then you give them victory and power over your life and you invariably become a victim in life. You should only accept the limits placed on you by God, and that limit is a life of abundance. “You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” You are meant to do great things.
“Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” – Ephesians 5:16
Always be on the alert for everything and anything that can help you get on in this world. Be determined from today, to keep your eyes open for opportunities, and let nothing escape you which can be turned into a chance for your development, keep your ears open for every sound that can help you on your way to your dreams.
“…yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” James 4:14
Friend life is lived in the present. There is no moment like the present. Never put off living or doing something until tomorrow because it is often much difficult and stressful to do the work that has been put off! “Now is the only time that we have. It is our only negotiable currency. Yesterday is a cancelled check. Tomorrow is a promissory note. It is only today that we may spend in the noble effort of using all the gifts that God gave us.”
“He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap” – Ecclesiastes 11:4
Don’t wait. Waiting is a trap never be caught in it. Never wait for the conditions to be perfect because they never will. There has never been a perfect time, day, month or year to do anything. If you have a dream, a purpose, a goal, take steps, try it out you will be amazed at your results.
“If people say they have faith, but do nothing, their faith is worth nothing” – James 2:14
There is no standing still in life; “He who is silent is forgotten; He who does not advance falls back; He who stops is overwhelmed, distanced, crushed; He who ceases to become greater, becomes smaller; He who leaves off gives up; The stationary is the beginning of the end – it precedes death; To live is to achieve, to will without ceasing.” – Orison S. Marden.
Keep moving. Keep pushing towards your dreams. Whatever it is you want to achieve this year, you can start by taking the first step, then the second, the third, and so on until you get to your destination – the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15
Be true to yourself. Only people, who are true to themselves and their uniqueness, end up standing out and stepping in front of the crowd. You are not a product of an assembly line. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by the master creator to stand out and live your greatest life. The greatest disservice you can do to yourself and God is to be like everyone else. To settle for so little in life when you have the possibilities in you to achieve so much and live a great life.
