Still Contemplating Going After Your Goals? Here is What You Need to Start

So many businesses, dreams, aspirations that could have changed the world have not seen the light of the day due to a lack of courage. Every waking day sends people into obscurity who could have been famous had they had the courage to put some efforts on their dreams and goals.

Folks to do anything meaningful in this world, you must not stand back, and muse about the things that can go wrong in your ideas, or wait for the perfect chances of big opportunities before you venture out. The Bible says, that “Whoever keeps staring at the wind won’t sow; whoever daydreams won’t reap.”

Too many folks today spend so much time calculating and consulting with others until one day they find that they have lost all the time available. While it is good to think things through, it is dangerous to over think. For some others, the reason their dreams and goals are not being realized is that they are looking for the validation of others before they pursue those dreams and goals. 4 Practical Strategies to Succeed Despite The Circumstances

Times are hard. Almost every country globally is experiencing one form of economic challenge or the other. If you are going through some tough moments, yet you really want to achieve success, here are 4 practical strategies you can use to achieve success in your business/work:

1. Have something to give to the world that is worth giving, that the world wants:

Your success depends not just on your efforts and hard work, but on how people appreciate those efforts. Because no matter how good your work/products/service may be, if it isn’t appreciated your results will be limited. You will be wasting so much time and energy only to benefit no one, not even yourself.

In order to be appreciated, your goal must be to not give the kind of service/products/work you think the world should want, but to give that which you are convinced they want. Remember by seeking to please others with your services, you in turn please yourself. Make what you give so valuable that people will want to buy/pay for your services/products without much effort and persuasion from you.

2. Be determined to serve the world better in your niche than it was ever served before:
Whatever it is you do, know that it can always be done better, and know that that better can be done by you.

The fact that others have failed, or others are not succeeding shouldn’t influence your mind or your conduct negatively. We are not held bound by the shortcomings or failure of others. Continue reading 4 Practical Strategies to Succeed Despite The Circumstances

Do you find yourself in a situation where you are asking God why me?

Maybe you have lost your job, lost your marriage, desperately in need of cash, badly hurt from a failed relationship, your health is failing, or you seem to be going from one adversity to the other with no hope of a breakthrough.

Is that the case with you? Then it is you I am writing this message for.

You see in life adversity, setbacks, challenges, negative situations, can occur, and they do occur to everyone often without any advance warning, despite your preparation, careful planning, your faith and closeness to God.

If you are in that position, the question you will be asking is how do I come out of this situation? What do I do to get my life back on track? Can I still find love, get rich, become happy, get a job, rebuild my business, get my family back, regain my health…in spite of all what I have gone/going through? Here Is Why Your Dreams Are Not Being Realized

Some time back, business took me to a rural community, where I met an older woman among the other people I had cause to interact with. This lady had a very compelling story that I still think about till this day.

The lady told me about her dreams; her dreams of freedom, about how she dreamed of life in the “big city”, where she will be rich building houses, owing cars, and having enough to give back to her community. I spent hours with her listening to her dreams…dreams she never chased.

Now in the city I meet many people too with dreams; with dreams of building big businesses, travelling round the world, being financially free, they talk about all the greatness they will achieve and when night comes, they sleep thinking they have achieved something…dreams.

Most of us are creative dreamers. We build cities and businesses, we paint pictures, do great things, all in obedience to an inner impulse. But the truth is, as long as we are content to enjoy the dream as a dream, we are slaves. Slaves to our thoughts and wishes.

The slave dreams of freedom, go to bed with those dreams and awakes to his misery. Freedom at any level only comes when we are able to transform our dreams into realities. Continue reading Here Is Why Your Dreams Are Not Being Realized

5 Secrets of Thomas Edison’s Success

Most of us know the story of Thomas Edison, his inventions and their relevance in our world today, several years after his death.

Did you know he arrived New York from Boston (USA) friendless, and heavily in debt due to his failed experiments in Boston? I stumbled on an old interview of his in which he shared the principles that caused him to succeed in life and business.

I have decided to share those principles with you, as they are still very true today as they were back then, and they help you immensely in your journey to success:

  1. Being broke and hungry is a blessing

When Thomas Edison was asked if he believed hunger, and lack can compel a person to achieve success, he said “It certainly makes him keep a sharp look out. I think it does push a man along.”

I totally agree with this statement. I too believe being broke and hungry is a blessing, as it pushes you to go the extra-mile to do anything legitimate to change your situation. (see The power of broke book by Daymond John)

So rather than complain about your present state, let it be the fire that you need to drive you to success.

  1. Be willing to put in long hours on your goals

How hard do you work on your dreams and goals? I find that most people lack the ability to spend enough time working on their dreams and goals. Folks working 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm will only earn you a living in most cases. If you want to build your business and bringing huge success, you must be willing to work longer than 5pm.

Thomas Edison said, for 15 years he worked for 20 hours a day. Now while that may be going to the extreme, that was how much time he had to give in order to be who he is to us, and carved his name in the tablet of immortality. Continue reading 5 Secrets of Thomas Edison’s Success

Podcast Episode 15: Develop the Tenacity of Purpose

Tenacity of purpose is a great quality that is required if you want success at any level. Unfortunately so many people lack this quality and as a result they miss their goals even when they are positioned and equipped to realise them.

If you are about to startup a business or venture into something new, then you should take a listen on this inspiring episode. It may just make all the difference for you between success and failure, especially as reports say 95% of most business startups fail between their 1-3 years.

I encourage you to listen, and also share this episode with someone you may know.
