You Do An Important Work!

What is the most important reward you get for the work you do? Is the money, the fame, the spotlight, the huge following? As for me, while the money I get helps me keep doing living my mission and meeting my personal needs. The ultimate reward I get is the joy I derive in serving others; in being able to put a smile on someone’s face, in being able to inspire another soul to reach for their greatness through my videos, my books, my podcasts or this blog.

We are all called to do different things for God folks. You see not all of us can follow the path that leads like the Indian’s trail from mountain peak to mountain peak. Many of us walk through lowlands, unseen, and unheard of. Not many of us will have the huge followers, and grace the front pages of leading magazines, but maybe it will only be our families and communities that recognize the work we do. But folks, whatever you have been called to do, just keep doing it faithfully because we are all working for the Master.

While you may not be honoured and appreciated for the work you do, while you may be constantly criticised, and bashed by internet trolls, and other people who don’t understand your part, if you stay faithful to God and the work you do, you will have an unseen Friend in God always beside you. Focus on The Future, Not The Past

So many of us are worried about our present situations, about our present jobs, or education level. Maybe we are behind our peers or siblings in terms of achievement. We look at our lives and wished we had a richer parentage, a better education, or better opportunities in the past.

The truth is, no matter how terrible or bleak or present condition is, there is hope for you, as Oliver Wendell Holmes ones stated’ “The great thing in this world is not so much where we are but in what direction we are moving.” You may not be able to do anything about your past, but you can change your future. Your past maybe dark, but your future is colourful and bright. All you need is a dream, and a desire to pursue your dream.

You can pursue your dream no matter where you are today. The world is filled with inspiring tales of men and women, who pursued their dreams and changed their lives in spite of their heavy physical health challenges, lack of financial resources, or poor education. You see no matter what you are going through now Continue reading Focus on The Future, Not The Past

What Have You to Live For?

A wise man once said “everyone dies, but not everyone really lives.” So many of us are just existing, merely making up the numbers and taking spaces here on earth. We go about every day in search of food, clothes and shelter. We strive to survive, and go through live without experiencing the art of truly living. There are still some of us who live in the fear that our lives will end without us experiencing real joy and having a sense of purpose. For many years now, my life was that way, I experienced a hollow, a feeling that something was missing in my life.

Like many I took the path that was laid for me, I did the normal thing; I went to school and trained as an Architect. After school I had a job, a decent one at that, one that offered me security, a pension, and an opportunity to plan my life. In spite of everything, I still felt I was missing something but like many of us, I pretended all was well and it is a normal feeling. I tried to focus on the job, but the more I did, the more I felt empty. Deep inside me, there was a yearning a call for a greater purpose. I had always had one desire; to reach out, to inspire people through my writings and talks thereby empowering them to live their greatest lives. The day I had the courage to turn my back on the world’s expectation of me, and answer my soul’s call was the day I began to fully live.

I have been called many names – some say I am crazy and Continue reading What Have You to Live For?

You Are Not An Accident

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” – Jeremiah 1:5

Your life is not an accident. It was no accident you were born into your family, received a certain education, and are being confronted with certain, unique experiences in life. You are where you are, who you are, and what you are for a reason.
You see, most of us don’t accept this fact. We hate ourselves and resent our families. We believe our genetic makeup is responsible for our lot in life. Folks these negative attitude won’t take us anywhere, rather it is what is holding us back from advancing. You can’t see anything good when you are blinded by evil.

I have seen many people who believed that if they changed their physical appearance, families and even nationalities, their lives would change. You are not your physical appearance, and your outer realities. So while you may succeed in influencing the way the world looks at you by changing your physical appearance and location, it doesn’t affect who you are on the inside.

To start living our greatest life, we need to surrender to, and accept the will of our Maker. No matter how hard you try to effect physical changes in our lives, “if our Divine Maker does not will it, not even a single leaf will dare to fall.” Your skin colour; family background; the education you have received; the challenges you are facing are part of the training necessary to prepare you for a successful journey through life. And in them, our God has provided us with everything we need to achieve our highest potential, and live our greatest lives.

Be Passionate

Everyone dead or alive who accomplished great things was a man or woman full of passion. They had an uncommon zeal and enthusiasm for their mission. Jesus was passionate. All through the gospels in the New Testament, we see examples of Him being moved by deep emotion to act, to heal, to raise up, to speak the word…even until the very end.

Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Steve jobs, and so many others whose works, ideals, lifestyle, beliefs are still influencing our world today even after their deaths, were people of passion. Passion lives on. Every man or woman whose name we hear today in sports, entertainment, business, leadership, religion etc are people who are passionate about the things they do.

You cannot be successful without living your life with passion. People with passion are self driven, upbeat, and self-motivated. They don’t wait for someone to come along and persuade or encourage them. If you want to live your greatest life, be at the very top of your calling, then you must have an “inspiring passion”. The kind of passion that makes you intensely committed to your ideas, beliefs, business, relationships, goals etc.

Apostle Paul said; “For is I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes woe is me if I do not preach”. 1 Corinthians 9:16

When I look at my life and my personal mission I can relate it to the words of Paul and tell you; I am passionate about my mission, about helping millions of people all over the world live their greatest lives, one person at a time. I don’t care whether I am paid. I don’t care if I am being encouraged or not. This is my passion. I am compelled to inspire and help others. It is what I am here for.

What are you passionate about? What stirs up your emotions? Go for it folks. Live your greatest life!

“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little cold of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.”

– George Bernard Shaw

Discover Your True Self

“A man died and met Saint Peter at the pearly gates. Knowing that Saint Peter was very wise, the man asked a question that he had wondered about throughout his life.
He said, “Saint Peter, I have been interested in military history for many years. Who is the greatest general of all time?”
Saint Peter quickly responded, “Oh that’s a simple question. It’s that man right over there.”
“You must be mistaken”, responded the man, now very perplexed. “I knew that man on earth, and he was just a common labourer.”
“That’s right my friend”, assured Saint Peter. “He would have been the greatest general of all time, if he had been a general.”

This story illustrates what is happening in our world today. Many of us go through life, even to death without uncovering our greatest talents and potentials. Little wonder the graveyard has been said to be the richest place on earth. Because, in there lie the world greatest men, and women, who never became great.

No matter where and what age you are in life reading this, it is never too late for you to discover your talents and strengths. Remember you were not conceived to just exist on earth. God created you for a purpose. His word tells us everyone of has a purpose for being here, a particular role to play. “This is the purpose that is purposed concerning the whole earth, and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.” – Isaiah 14:26

“Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honourable use, some for dishonourable.” Discover what you are here to do and do it. Dare to be different, don’t settle for little in life.

“Why settle for so little in life when you can have so much, just by daring to be different in your thinking.” – Catherine Ponder. Don’t die without being what you were meant to be. Live your greatest life!

If you are confused about your purpose, you can ask God in prayers today. No one knows you better than your maker. He said: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” The good news is He is ever ready, and eagerly waiting to point you towards your life path. Don’t settle for less when you can be more!
