Does your spouse/partner have to change before you can love them completely? Personally I think not. I believe love should be unconditional, as there isn’t any flawless human out there. And to the guys who are frustrating their spouses/partners out of the relationships by demanding that they change to fit the perfect image of a lady they have in their heads, they could learn a thing or two from Bruno Mars’ song Just the way you are.

Here are a few tips: Continue reading Don’t Change Her, Just Love Her – Love Lessons From Bruno Mars

You Can Succeed The Way You Are!

Recently I have caught myself in the act of always thinking about the things I lacked. I will focus on the things going bad and wrong within me instead of my dreams and goals thereby stalling in my achievements. I believe I am not alone in this. There are some of us who when thinking and considering their lives, all they can see is the many unpaid bills, the debts, the divorces, the failed relationships, their negative habits, and so on.

Many of us are not being helped by the overly righteous friends and relationships we keep who are unfailing in their self imposed responsibilities of pointing the many blemishes that are in our lives, and painting a saintly image of themselves.

Folks if you find yourself in this situation where you all you can see about you are negatives do not worry, as there isn’t anyone who is too good that there isn’t any bad in them, or too bad that there isn’t any good in them.

There is nothing wrong with your negativities and shortcomings. We human beings are told by others that our negativities are our defeat. When you start to label your feelings, emotions, and activities as being negative by others’ standards, you are judging yourself according to others’ standards. Anything is Possible to The Believer

Photo credit: shipulski.com“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” – Mark 9:23

I know a lot of people that had one dream or the other – in fact they still have them, but they do nothing about their dreams and goals. Most of them are too scared of public opinion to dare act on them. Friends, great ideas are always laughed at, rejected, and opposed in the beginning. Most of the originators of the ideas were considered foolish, and some were even referred to mental health institutions for rehabilitation.

Many of the things that you use today; even the things you are being taught about in schools today, were at one time the radical ideas of individuals who had the courage to believe what their own hearts and minds told them was true, rather than accept the common beliefs of their day. Who would have thought that coloured water will be a multi-billion dollar industry today – pioneered by Coca Cola? Imagine 25 years ago, that water freely given by God, will be packaged in bottles and transformed into a billion dollar industry? Continue reading Anything is Possible to The Believer

Are You driving or Being Driven?

I have always had a dread of becoming a passenger in life. -Margareth II, Queen of Denmark

These words of this great woman really jolted me, as I look around and see so many of us who haven’t achieved much in life, who are not following their dreams, yet we are so comfortable becoming passengers in life’s buses going nowhere.

Many of us have become what Zig Ziglar called wondering generalities. We are just wondering about from one job the other, from one marriage to another, from one relationship to another, from one course of study to another, without knowing what we want to do with our lives.

Some of you are in marriages and relationships because you were told that’s the right choice to make, for the sake of the family, or to look responsible in the society and so on. Yet you are miserable in that relationship but you have to put up the appearance and stay in it to please the society. Some of you are in jobs that make you miserable but you staying there because you because of the temporal security it offers, or because you are afraid of what people will think, you are like the drug junkie who knows the pills are killing him but won’t let go of the habit. “Bodily Exercise and Food Gives Little Profits”

Many of us are very picky and particular about what food we eat. These days there have been so much consciousness on healthy diets. This is so because we know that our bodies reflect the diet fed them. Physical stamina, resistance to disease, body size, even how long we live are all closely related to what we eat.

While many of us have almost perfected the art of healthy dieting, we have failed to also realize that our minds also reflect the kind of “mind food” we feed them. We may have very healthy physical bodies, but we feed our minds with unhealthy junk meals. – Through the information, habits, and attitudes we pick from our environments.

Our environment shapes us, makes us think, talk, or walk the way we do. You are where you are in life largely because of well fed or how malnourished your mind is. Its time to become as conscious about what you feed your minds, as we are about what we feed our bodies, because the size of your thinking, your goals, your attitudes, your personality are all a reflection of your state of mind. The Price for Success

Each one of us is driven to a certain extent by fear. Even the most courageous among us have some fear in them —fear to rise, fear to fall, fear that we will remain in the same place. So many of us think that we want to be rich, that we want to be famous, that we want to accomplish great deeds, but often these feelings are just idle talk and mere wishes.

Most of the things we think we want come at the price of leaving behind our familiar life and venturing into the unknown. Every time we accomplish something and move ahead, we have to exchange the known conditions of our life for uncertainty and unfamiliarity.

Even though most people think they are trying to succeed, they are simply going through the motions. The last thing in the world that they want is to get off the familiar treadmill and actually get somewhere.

Before we can succeed, we must clearly understand that success means change and the risk of failure. Continue reading The Price for Success

Life Bears Lemons Also

This life is not always sunshine and bright days. It gets rainy, cloudy, and stormy also. In our own lives, we get sick, we experience disappointments, we fail, we cry, we die.

Every day, I meet people who are disappointed, angry or sad that they are experiencing bad times, in spite of their devotion to God; they are being treated cruelly in spite of the fact that they good to others.

The fact is, it doesn’t matter how much we wish to ignore the possibility of any negative and unpleasant aspects of our lives, our Creator writes His own script for life.

Instead of praying for a problem-less and stress free life, pray for the unshakable inner strength and  to accept the harsh lessons of life and learn from them, not to be destroyed by them. Continue reading Life Bears Lemons Also
