Daily Inspiration: You Have A Greater Power In You!

Consider this truth: “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” What a profound truth!

There is something greater in you than that which is holding you back from your ambition, which is keeping you in poverty, which is thwarting your desire for an education.

There is something in you that is bigger than any negative circumstance or setback, than anything which opposes your growth in life. This power that works inside you is independent of fire or flood, of hard times or failure.

There is something in you that can rise above sickness, above disease, above poverty, above everything that would hinder you from becoming the man or the woman you were created to become, from achieving your dreams and goals.

It is inside you. Just reach in and tap into that force!

Live your greatest life!

No Ordinary Days: How to Make Your Days Count

Most people complain that their everyday life isn’t interesting. Nothing special happens to them except on some special occasions where they have something to celebrate or mark. Their days are just so-so they claim.

Yet these individuals forget that life is measured and tested in the “everyday life”. Anybody can do well on special occasions. Anybody can do good on Sundays. Any person can be nice and sweet in the midst of gentle influences. Anybody can perform acts of heroism once or twice in their lifetime.

And all these is good, but you must realize that what you do with the ordinary days is the real measure of your life’s character and value. You cannot neglect your ordinary days and expect to have a great year. Often people say “I have had a bad year”, “I haven’t achieved anything worthwhile this year” etc, without realizing that it is 365 days that make a year, and when you don’t take care of those days, you will miss out of the year.

Nearly all the world’s best work is done in the ordinary days, the every days. Too many people have missed of their opportunities because they neglected the common tasks and assignment before them, while looking for big ones that will come on special days. Daily Wisdom: Learn to Focus

When you have chosen a good purpose and certain you have chosen well and wisely, focus on making it work. Bend your best energies to it. This is where a lot of us fail; we don’t focus long enough and work hard enough to make our dreams and goals come through. And as a result we are easily distracted from our calling by the many influences around.

In the pursuit of your life purpose daily, you will find people and situations seeking to compete for your time and thoughts. You must protect yourself against them. They are “dream stealers.” Lots of people have failed in making their dreams come true because of these distractions.

Make your resolutions so clear and firm that nothing can lure you from your chosen path of purpose and duty. Don’t sit around dreaming about your future, get up and start doing something about that future. Don’t sit around wishing for a better opportunity or life, get up and start achieving those things you desire.

Greatness is achieved through obsessive focus on your dreams/purpose.

Today: God’s Gift For You

“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24

“Each night I go to sleep I die and the next morning when I wake up I am reborn again.”  —Gandhi

Each day is a gift from God, and the best way to live it is with rejoicing and gladness just like the Psalmist said. Receive this day as a special gift from heaven, an opportunity for us to be reborn and begin our lives again. If you see this day as a gift, you will treasure it, and not waste it on unproductive activities. Never allow the pains, hurdles, handicaps, and defeats of yesterday to poison your attitude towards this day. Never allow the words, actions or inactions of others to cast a pall of gloom and defeat on the entire day. This day is too precious to be wasted on thinking about the hate, jealousy and envy of others.

Sometimes it seems as if the 24 hours allotted to us each day isn’t enough to accomplish all tasks at hand, and so we tend to always be in a hurry. Continue reading Today: God’s Gift For You

One Day At A Time

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34

How often we ignore these words, and put off living our lives daily, one day at a time as instructed. Though this year is still young, some of us are already worried about tomorrow, next week, next month, next six months. There are others who’ve fast tracked into December, thinking if they were able to end the year successfully. Maybe yours is the next month’s car payments; afraid of the bills, mortgage payment, house rents; afraid you may not have what to eat in the coming days, weeks, months etc. if we put the words of Jesus to practice, we would discover that, “everyday is a new life for a wise man”.

We must “learn to forget the yesterdays and to not think of the tomorrows”. No matter what you are going through, try and enjoy today and make the most of it, for as the psalmist says; “This is the day that the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Today holds your future! Here is an inspiring poem by Kalidasa (Indian Dramatist) I found in one of Dale Carnegie’s works, that asserts the importance of Today:

Salutation To The Dawn

Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life.

In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth
The glory of action
The splendour of achievement.

For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today well lived makes yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation to the dawn.

Today I am enough

Today I am smart enough

Today I am wise enough

Today I am clever enough

Today I am resourceful enough

Today I am confident enough

Today, I am connected to enough people to accomplish my heart’s desire.

Today, I have enough ideas to pull off magic and miracles.

Today, I have more than enough.

Today, as I do all I can do, I am able to do more and more

Today, I am excited to be alive.

Today, I am comfortable with myself, so I am comfortable with all others.

Today, everyone who meets me is warmed by the radiance of my attitude.

Today, I associate with friendly, caring and nurturing people who are involved doing important things.

Today, I am enough. I have enough. I do enough.
