Still Contemplating Going After Your Goals? Here is What You Need to Start

So many businesses, dreams, aspirations that could have changed the world have not seen the light of the day due to a lack of courage. Every waking day sends people into obscurity who could have been famous had they had the courage to put some efforts on their dreams and goals.

Folks to do anything meaningful in this world, you must not stand back, and muse about the things that can go wrong in your ideas, or wait for the perfect chances of big opportunities before you venture out. The Bible says, that “Whoever keeps staring at the wind won’t sow; whoever daydreams won’t reap.”

Too many folks today spend so much time calculating and consulting with others until one day they find that they have lost all the time available. While it is good to think things through, it is dangerous to over think. For some others, the reason their dreams and goals are not being realized is that they are looking for the validation of others before they pursue those dreams and goals. Contrary to the beliefs of a lot of folks, it isn’t their lack of money, lack of skills, hard luck, or lack of connections that is responsible for their mediocre results. Rather it is simply a lack of persistence. Too many people give too soon.

Persistence is a very important quality we must possess if we are to reach our destined heights in life. There are several scriptures of the Bible that stress the importance of persistence in the work of God. One of such is 1 Corinthians 15: 58: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.”

Folks as with your Christian work so it is it life. Achieving anything great in life requires persistent effort and constancy of purpose. Staying at something long after the excitement of the moment is gone. Persistence always gives confidence. Everybody believes in the person who persists. They may meet misfortunes, sorrows, and reverses, but everybody believes that they will ultimately triumph because they know there is no keeping such individuals down. Podcast Episode 19: What is Your Moral Compass?

There are times in life when we have to stand up for what we know in our moral compass is right.

In our world today, with everything that is happening, you could see that our morality is being thrown away. People will rather be liked than stand up for what is right.

What about you, are you conforming with the crowd, or you have a moral compass and you stick with it. The bible clearly warns us not conform to the patterns of the world.

This serves as a reminder for those of us who may have forgotten about our morality in dealing with life’s issues, and also as a beacon of courage to anyone who is struggling with the attitude of people towards him/her for choosing to be different in a world where people are dying to conform with the crowd.

Listen to it, download it, and share it with others. If it blesses you in any way, share your thoughts in the comments below.

Podcast Episode 18: Why Voluntarily Enslave Yourself?

Do you think someone has to approve of the things you do before you do them? Are you constantly trying to please others in your relationships, jobs, business even when you are hurting inside? Then you may be voluntarily enslaving yourself.

Too many people today are slaves to the thinking and actions of others. They strain themselves to do things simply because others do them, they let other people’s opinions define who they are and become.

If you find yourself in this situation, where you are in constant need of the validation of others, then you should immediately listen to this audio specially made for you, to break you free from the slavery you have voluntarily brought yourself into. It will inspire you to find your own voice or image in a world where people are drowning in the oceans of others opinion of them.

Feel free to share it with someone you know – you may be saving a life!

How to Deal with a Challenging Life

Most of us think of the wonderful things we would do if we could only get rid of the worries, the annoyances, the disturbances that prick us day by day, as well as the things that defeat our ambitions – the failures, the disappointments, the heartbreaks, the blunders, the setbacks that continually tend to befall us and discourage us.

Yet the real test of our strength is whether we will fulfil our purposes; carry out our life plan and become successful in spite of all the things that are apparently trying to hold us down, or, whether we will allow ourselves to be overcome by the hindrances that slow the steps of everyone going after their dreams.

For how long will you whine and carry a long, sad face giving the world the impression that your life has been full of disappointments? For how long will you keep telling your woe stories, that you haven’t achieved your goals because of the setbacks that you have experienced this year?

For how long are you going to let your troubles and trials, challenges and annoyances which happen to every career and everyone, keep you down? For how long will you keep allowing disappointments and failures to worry and devitalize you that you cannot do the biggest thing possible to you? Are you going to be a victim of your troubles and trials in spite of your divine possibilities? Continue reading How to Deal with a Challenging Life

Always Get the Best of People

Learn to take advantage of your neighbours, friends, relatives and associates, and get the best of them. Now, don’t be shocked. Let me explain. In every respectable person you know there are desirable traits of character. In every loving friend, there are qualities that you need.

Our associations influence us whether we believe it or not. And the late Jim Rohn said, and this has been widely proven by the way, “we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.”

Take advantage of your associations with these good people, select the best there is in their natures, and embody their virtues in yourself. Never mind their faults. You have enough of your own. You will find what you are looking for. You will embody what you recognize and admire; therefore look for the elements of success and admire and cherish the virtues of your friends.

Last week I was with a group of people, and while I was sharing some ideas with them, someone moved next to me and said, “Vincent I know you are an inspirational speaker and you always encourage people to stay positive and all, but I am going to watch you. I live close to you. I am going to find all your weak points and detect your meanness.” Continue reading Always Get the Best of People

The Secret to Real Success? Get Right with God

wpid-wp-1417272196607.jpeg

Put away the illusion that any real success is possible except when working in harmony with Divine law and living by Divine grace. All effort contrary to the God’s will is worse than wasted. Most people foolishly expect to win out in life moving against the forces and laws that govern the universe! Don’t be deceived as no one did succeed that way.

Take a moment to think about this. If you fill your right pocket by emptying your left, are you making money? If you accumulate wealth by losing your soul, is that gain? If you acquire anything by fraud, or at the expense of health, or character, is that victory? If you gain prestige, fame, or fortune by the efforts of others without giving value received, is that success? No!

Every cheat is a failure. Every fraud is a loser. Every moral delinquent is bankrupt. Every dishonest dollar in a man’s pocket puts him a dollar in debt. Every hypocrite, whether in the social, economic, or religious world, is wasting his life and robbing humanity of the honest service he should render. Continue reading The Secret to Real Success? No One Knows You Better Than God

God knows the full details of your life; who you are, where you are going, and why you are here. And you must trust Him. A verse in the Bible helps us understand that God has amazing plans for you; plans that include prosperity and peace and to give you a great future. Another verse tells us that God will always be there for you, helping you in every step of the way.

Your belief and trust in God are paramount in your discovery of your definite purpose in life because it is through your faith that God will do everything for you and in you. “However, if the enemy of your soul can cause you to doubt these things, then he can attack the validity and necessity of your existence, which then leads to anxiety and depression.

Trusting the God who created you to guide you through this earth is where the rubber meets the road. And like a great friend of mine, Nikki Bless shared on her Facebook post recently; “When God led the children of Israel through the desert, they didn’t have a map or a compass or a smartphone with built-in GPS telling them when to turn. They didn’t even know where they were going. All they knew was that they were supposed to leave Egypt. As they obeyed and followed God, He took care of them. When they ran into a dead end at the Red Sea, He opened a road for them right through the water. When they were hungry, He dropped food from the sky. When they were thirsty, He poured water from a rock. When they didn’t know which way to go, He put a cloud in front of them to lead the way.” Continue reading No One Knows You Better Than God

How to Get Satisfaction and Fun on Your Job

I was standing around in an area that has a bus stop frequently used by workers from both the public and private sectors. And on that fateful day, all I heard from those workers who were going home after closing from work was complaint and lamentation about their jobs and their pay. Almost every one of them seemed miserable and dissatisfied with their job and the income they were getting from it.

This is the mindset of average people – to complain about their jobs and the satisfaction they get from it. No matter what you do, magnify to yourself the importance of your work. There are no small jobs only small workers. Most people fail to realize that when you do your job haphazardly or in a mean way, it doesn’t reflect the job, but it does reflect you.

The way you carry out your daily assignments or go about your business daily is a mirror reflecting the world the sort of an individual you are. “The character of an individual shines through his task.” Too many people are not giving their best on their jobs because they think the job is beneath them or the environment isn’t fun. Folks you can find satisfaction and fun on any job if you took it differently and changed your perception of the job. Continue reading How to Get Satisfaction and Fun on Your Job
