How To Be A Possibility Thinker

In this life you are going to have difficulties and challenges. Even the bible acknowledges this. So when dealing with the various situations, challenges and circumstances in your life, consider applying the “Possibilities Thinkers Creed”.

The creed says; “When faced with a mountain – I will not quit. I will persist until I find a way over, around or through the mountain. Or I will simply stay where I am and turn the mountain into a gold mine.”

Think about what having such an attitude will do for your life. The mountain is what you perceive as your problem, challenge or adversity. The miracle is being able to turn what appears to be a negative situation into a positive one by simply changing your perspective.

There is no situation in life that you cannot turn around if you change the way you view the situation. Remember problems affect us based on the interpretation we give them. Give your challenges a new meaning. Whether you are having problems in your marriage, career, school, relationships or business instead of quitting and being badly affected by it, try looking at from a different direction. WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE UP TO LIVE YOUR DREAMS?

Many of us talk about the kind of life we want to live, the things we want to achieve, the places we want to be, the kind of relationships we want to have. For example, you may be reading this and you have been talking about being a successful entrepreneur, a bestselling author, a thought leader, a coach etc. while it is good to dream and talk about your dreams, here is a question for you, “What are you willing to give up, in order to have the life you keep saying you want?”

Two years ago I was asked that question, when I was struggling to become a speaker. I knew my higher purpose was to inspire others to live their best lives, but I was letting too many stuff get in the way. Then I met a mentor who asked me, Vincent what are you willing to give up, so that you can have the life you keep talking and dreaming about? In responding, I thought I had to only give up the bad habits, the things I didn’t love doing but he said, hey, that’s easy, you must also give up the things you love that are getting in the way of you following your dreams.

Folks your dreams require focused attention. So the reason why most of us haven’t reached that height we talk about is because we let too many stuff get in the way. Maybe like me you may have to really take a look at your lives and do some purging. What are you saying YES to that is making you say NO to your dream? Seek to Build and Not to Destroy!

“Never tear down anything unless you are prepared to build something better in its place.” I think of these wise words each time I read or hear people writing or saying negative things about others. Many of us have a habit of criticizing and condemning others – especially church leaders and their messages. I was on a social media platform recently and someone who has a significant following online was condemning a leading pastor as “Anti-Christ” and not a true believer.

If you find yourself always attacking, opposing and criticizing the actions of others, remember, it is easy to condemn, criticize and attack other people thoughtlessly for their failings and mistakes, and equally easy to find fault in their work or in situations that are not to your liking. It is far more difficult to empathize and help build people up. Until you work their paths you will never know what people go through to get where they are in life.

The bible says the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy others joy, happiness, laughter, progress, work, successes and lives. Don’t become the thief! Negative criticism and condemning others is cheap, so let’s stop doing easy and cheap things. One way to do this is to try and catch yourself being negative towards others, and remember the old saying, “If you can’t say something nice about someone, don’t say anything at all.” Continue reading Seek to Build and Not to Destroy!

Don’t Let Yesterday Take Up Much of Today

Are you letting yesterday take up too much of today? Unfortunately many of us are. We spend so much time thinking and talking about how achievements, our victories, our breakthroughs and our successes of yesterday, last week, last month, last year and so on and forget to act to improve our lives today.

There are also some of us who spend our today whining and complaining about the misfortunes, ill lucks, failures, disappointments and adversity of yesterday. All we do is blame others, circumstances and events that happened yesterday, last week, last month, last year and so on for our inability to act today. We exist today but we are not fully alive.

Folks don’t let yesterday take up too much of today. No matter what you achieved or didn’t achieve previously, forget about it and focus on today. Take the advice of the scripture that says, “Forget the former things and do not dwell on the past” because it is gone. Continue reading Don’t Let Yesterday Take Up Much of Today

What Are You Confessing?

The Bible instructs us as Christians that we should hold on to our confessions of faith but too often when we are faced with challenges most of us forget about our faith and “speak reality” little wonder the challenges keep increasing. In order to help us keep professing our faith and confessing positive things into our lives, here are 8 powerful affirmations and confessions to help us through challenges:

  1. “Never Again will I confess “I can’t,” “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4: 13 NAS).
  1. Never Again will I confess lack, for “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19 NAS).
  1. Never Again will I confess fear, for “God hath not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7 NAS).
  1. Never Again will I confess doubt and lack of faith, for “…God has allotted to each a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3 NAS).

Guard Your Heart

The bible commands that we guard our heart with utmost care because it is in there that all our thoughts are formed. In today’s world where we are being daily bombarded with unsolicited negative information, we need to be careful what we let into our hearts. All the information we receive are seeds that are being planted in our minds, and like all seeds they must produce fruits after their kind.

The life you are living now is the product of the kind of seeds (information) that has been planted in you over time. Just like it’s said our character is the sum of our actions, and our actions are the result of our thoughts. Therefore as you think in your heart, and as you dwell on certain kinds of thoughts in your daily life, you begin to manifest those thoughts in your reality.

What thoughts have you been thinking lately? Do you always think thoughts of misery, failure, defeat, discouragement and poverty? Or do you always think thoughts of power, success, good health, love, happiness and long life? Whatever it is you are thinking, you don’t need to see a shrink for your results as your life is already manifesting your thoughts. Continue reading Guard Your Heart

You Become What You Think About

Most of us are always thinking about the things we don’t want and that is why we have more of them in our lives. Remember you become what you think about most of the time. Stop thinking about the things you don’t want and start thinking about the things you desire.

Stop thinking about poverty, lack, hard times, bad luck, panic, disease, death and lack of love. Think and talk more about plenty, health, life, opportunity, confidence, happiness, love, progress, achievement, good luck and righteousness. “Our thoughts help to make the world what it is.” Right thinking is our greatest power for change.

Begin today to focus your thoughts on all the positive things you desire and they will start manifesting in your life. Live your greatest life!

Many of us are very picky and particular about what food we eat. These days there have been so much consciousness on healthy diets. This is so because we know that our bodies reflect the diet fed them. Physical stamina, resistance to disease, body size, even how long we live are all closely related to what we eat.

While many of us have almost perfected the art of healthy dieting, we have failed to also realize that our minds also reflect the kind of “mind food” we feed them. We may have very healthy physical bodies, but we feed our minds with unhealthy junk meals. – Through the information, habits, and attitudes we pick from our environments.

Our environment shapes us, makes us think, talk, or walk the way we do. You are where you are in life largely because of well fed or how malnourished your mind is. Its time to become as conscious about what you feed your minds, as we are about what we feed our bodies, because the size of your thinking, your goals, your attitudes, your personality are all a reflection of your state of mind. Kill The Doubts and Be Positive!

To the timid person, everything is impossible but to the brave, nothing is impossible. How high we rise or how low we fall in life is determined by the power of our own thoughts, because our physical bodies have been adequately prepared by God to be able to undertake whatever dreams our minds conceive.

The people who rise in life are those who never doubt their own ability to succeed. They understand that the mind of a mind is like a fertile soil that grows whatever is planted in it. And that if if you allow a doubt to occupy any place at all in your mind, that doubt will grow there. Doubts can be likened to a small hole in a ship that lets water in it. If left unchecked, it can cause damage to the boat and even sink it. Doubts will kill your self-confidence, self esteem, self-reliance, and your power to succeed in life, so get rid of all your doubts and fears. They are unworthy of any place in your mind!

There is nothing, no opportunity, no task, no challenge that can ever come to you that you do not have the power within you to perform and overcome. All it takes is the believe and the conviction that you can do all things. You’ve got what it takes inside you. When you are presented with a task or a situation, always be positive and say positive words like, “I can do this”, instead of “I will try to do this”. Never ask yourself questions that doubt your ability and capacity such as, “Can I do this?” “Who am I to do this?” “Do I have what it takes?” Continue reading Kill The Doubts and Be Positive!
