A Prayer to Make The Best of The Day

God we thank you for a new day, for another opportunity to redeem ourselves. O Lord, you who is infinite wisdom and the source of all strength, grant that whatever today brings whether good fortune, disappointment, pain or pleasure, we may meet it with a brave heart and a cheerful face and use it to your glory and the good of others.

Help us to be interested in the welfare of others, that we shall not just be thinking only of ourselves; so intent on winning your approval that we shall not be unduly concerned with the opinion of men.

When the strength and time you have allotted for this day’s struggles have been exhausted, grant O Lord, we ask that we may be a little closer to the goals that you have set for us in the race to be like Christ. Amen

God is Amazing

How amazing God is. Think about this; “I am not just a God of awesome power, a God who decides who should be rewarded and who should be punished. That is what human rulers do. I am a God of second chances. I understand that human beings can’t be perfect. I help people so that they don’t repeat next year the same mistakes they made last year. I give people the amazing ability to be somebody different next year than they were this past year. I am a God who helps people in difficulty, not by making their path smooth and easy but by holding their hand as they walk a difficult path, not by taking away their problems but by giving them qualities they didn’t believe they were capable of, so that they can deal with the problems themselves. You yourself become the answer to your prayer.”

Have You Taken Your Burdens to God?

One of my favourite scriptures say, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” So many of us are carrying one or more burdens; for some us, we carry financial burdens – we are hard pressed because of lack of money. For others it is health challenges; still for some it is emotional burdens, and so on. But whatever the burdens you carry, all we have been asked to do is leave it to God.

I have discovered that many of us find these simple words so hard to follow. We could travel the lengths of the earth in search of solutions, call all the contacts in our phones, bath in rivers, visit grave yards, do all manner of things to find solutions to our problems, but always fail to believe that you can get your challenges solved by leaving them to God.

Friends, there’s no point racking your brains to provide answers to your challenges. Just leave it to God. Even if there is delay, refuse to be impatient. Know it is for the best. It must be so, for the Highest has taken charge.

In my own life, I have experienced this work; two years ago, I had a series of challenges in my life, I had tried my best to get the problems solved but it looked like it wasn’t going to be possible, then I took the advice of Joel Osteen, and wrote my problems down in prayers to God. Be Grateful!

There is a story in the bible about a group of ten lepers, who met Jesus as he was entering a particular town, and cried out to him; “Master, Jesus, have pity on our condition! Do something! Anything! Heal us! Don’t pass us by, see, we don’t have access to our families anymore because of our condition. Please Lord, heal us!” Jesus, hearing these grown men crying, was moved with compassion as always. He prayed for them and asked them to go show themselves to the High priest, the town’s spiritual leader. On their way there, the men discovered that they had been healed. Their leprosy was gone. We were told that one of them upon discovering that his condition has changed, that the healing has taken place, returned to thank the man who was responsible for it. Christ was moved by his actions, and asked where are the others? Where are the other nine? To the man giving thanks he said, since you’ve learned the lesson of gratitude, your healing is now complete!

What a great lesson that story in Luke 17:11-19 shares. Too often we go to God in prayers, asking, demanding to be blessed, to be healed, to be restored etc. We go to him complaining about our health, our jobs, our marriages and relationships etc, we show him the scars from our broken hearts, we tell him about others attitude towards us, about how our environments have limited us…we pray, sometimes in tears…for answers, but when these answers come, and our lives have changed, we hardly return to express our gratitude. We are too busy, too pressed by the new us. Sometimes we don’t say thank you lord, maybe because it wasn’t exactly what we were expecting, or because, we feel it is by our own hard work, ingenuity, strategies etc… we don’t see any role God played to get us where we are now…“after all I made it happen” we may think. You Are Almost There….Hold On

“A holy man, because of his great virtue, was taken by the angels to visit heaven. As the angels were escorting him through the heavenly mansion, they passed through a great hall piled high with gifts of every kind. The man asked his guides why all these gifts were here. They replied, “These are all the things people prayed for but quit their prayers right before they were to be delivered.”

So many times in life, a lot of us quit too soon. We quit when we are just “three feet from gold”. We give up on our dreams and hopes just at the time when our hard work is suppose to pay off. I have read about and seen it in the lives of many entrepreneurs who give up on their businesses, and sell them after years of toiling, and then the new owners now take these same businesses, and transform them to multi-million dollar companies. Here in my country I have seen I have seen men who bought oil wells that were considered “dry” and unproductive, and struck rich from them.

Don’t give up on your dreams because it is taking too long. You closer than you think. Some of us don’t get what we desire and pray for because we quit desiring them. We lose heart simply because the people we look up to told us we can’t achieve our desires. Never allow anyone talk you out of your dreams and goals because there are people with worse circumstances than yours who have achieved higher goals than the ones you target.

Whatever you desire, focus on them. “Make them your definite chief aim” because you will never get anything you don’t truly desire. Be specific about your desires and go for them. Maybe the reason why your prayers and desires are not being answered is because you don’t know what you want. Today you desire a job, tomorrow you are talking about starting a business. If someone talks to you the next week, what they hear is you want something else. Folks, “if we are steadfast in our efforts to attain our worthy desires, they may come to us, but idle dreams seldom come true.”

Speak these words daily into your life. Make them your daily prayers. There is power in repeatition, so say them as many as a hundred times in one session. Most importantly when you pray, believe and act as if you already have what you desire.

1- I forgive everyone who can possibly need forgiveness in my life.
2- I forgive all things – past, present and future
3- I release all situations which are unnecessary and no longer a part of my life, my mind and my heart. I give them all to God, as I myself can do nothing.
4- I am free and all others are free.
5- I am in a peaceful relationship with all people and situations now

6- Today I am grateful for another day of life and thankful for the warmth of good health which fills my body generously.
7- Thanks to God for working through me, I am beautiful, healthy and happy
8- I continuously thank God for his infinite supply of health and for allowing me the space to create the best me I can be.
9- Thanks to God for working through me, everyday and in every way I am growing richer and richer

10- Deep in the centre of my life, there is an infinite supply of love. I now allow this love to come forth and flow to the surface. It fills my heart, my body, my mind and my consciousness. And it radiates from me in all directions.
11- My supply of love is endless
12- Each cell of my body is filled with divine love and intelligence
13- Love surrounds me and fills my heart.

14- I have a large, steady, permanent and dependable financial income
15- I accept and give generously, appreciating all that surrounds me, all that encompasses me, and all that fills my entire divine being
16- I have within me the power to receive, maintain and create new growth and abundance in my life
17- There is plenty of success and prosperity for all. My supply is unlimited
18- In everything there is gold. Everything I touch turns to gold. Every breath I take turns into gold dust. Every word I speak turns golden. My entire world is filled with the golden hue of happiness, health and prosperity
19- Abundance surrounds me and fill my life

20- My health is perfect
21- Every day and in every way I am getting better and better
22- I choose to be healthy, young and vibrant
23- I am happier than I have ever been as I feel the excitement and joy of being encompass my heart and soul.
24- I am healed. I am free.
