The Secret to Real Success? Get Right with God

Put away the illusion that any real success is possible except when working in harmony with Divine law and living by Divine grace. All effort contrary to the God’s will is worse than wasted. Most people foolishly expect to win out in life moving against the forces and laws that govern the universe! Don’t be deceived as no one did succeed that way.

Take a moment to think about this. If you fill your right pocket by emptying your left, are you making money? If you accumulate wealth by losing your soul, is that gain? If you acquire anything by fraud, or at the expense of health, or character, is that victory? If you gain prestige, fame, or fortune by the efforts of others without giving value received, is that success? No!

Every cheat is a failure. Every fraud is a loser. Every moral delinquent is bankrupt. Every dishonest dollar in a man’s pocket puts him a dollar in debt. Every hypocrite, whether in the social, economic, or religious world, is wasting his life and robbing humanity of the honest service he should render. Continue reading The Secret to Real Success? How to Get Satisfaction and Fun on Your Job

I was standing around in an area that has a bus stop frequently used by workers from both the public and private sectors. And on that fateful day, all I heard from those workers who were going home after closing from work was complaint and lamentation about their jobs and their pay. Almost every one of them seemed miserable and dissatisfied with their job and the income they were getting from it.

This is the mindset of average people – to complain about their jobs and the satisfaction they get from it. No matter what you do, magnify to yourself the importance of your work. There are no small jobs only small workers. Most people fail to realize that when you do your job haphazardly or in a mean way, it doesn’t reflect the job, but it does reflect you.

The way you carry out your daily assignments or go about your business daily is a mirror reflecting the world the sort of an individual you are. “The character of an individual shines through his task.” Too many people are not giving their best on their jobs because they think the job is beneath them or the environment isn’t fun. Folks you can find satisfaction and fun on any job if you took it differently and changed your perception of the job. Continue reading How to Get Satisfaction and Fun on Your Job

Wisdom Brings Success

“If the axe is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success.” – Ecclesiastes 10:10

You see a lot of us are pursuing greatness and success with blunt mental axes. We haven’t spent any time to improve, to acquire more knowledge in our chosen fields, yet we complain when we do not see the expected results. There is no way you can get different results when you keep doing the same thing.

One of the most magnificent things about life is that it gives us an opportunity for a fresh start every second; every minute; every day; every week; every month; every year. Today we have been offered a new month to start afresh. It doesn’t matter what your results were in the past, you can make amends, improve, increase and be the best you can be this month by taking the time to sharpen the edge of your axe. Don’t go through life exerting too much physical efforts, when all you need to excel has been recorded somewhere and all you have to do is reach out for it.

Just as Ecclesiastes 10:10 tells us, strength alone doesn’t bring success. Because if it does, the many men and women who exert themselves and break their backs day in day out doing honest work here in Africa, won’t be living in poverty. They sweat just to earn miserly wages that cannot get them through average existence. Folks, hard work is but hard work plus wisdom is better. The Bible says that we cannot prevail by strength alone.

“Any day which is passed without treasuring up some good thought is not well spent. Every day is a leaf in the book of life. Do not waste a day any more than you would tear out leaves from the book of life.” Spend the time, read all the books you can read; all the articles you can read on your chosen field. Attend the workshops and seminars. Listen to the tapes – these give you the tools required to get the results you want.

Make February your best month yet. Live your greatest life!

Get Rid Of Doubts

There is something wrong when the children of the King of kings go about like sheep hounded by a pack of wolves.
There is something wrong when those who have inherited infinite supply are worrying about their daily bread; are dogged by fear and anxiety so that they cannot have any peace; that their lives are battling with want; that they are always anxious.
There is something wrong when we are so worried and absorbed in making a living that we cannot make a life.

We were made for happiness, to express joy and gladness, to be prosperous. The trouble with us is that we do not trust God to supply our needs. We keep our minds and our faith in ourselves so small, so narrow, that we strangle the inflow of supply. “Abundance follows a law as strict as that of mathematics. If we obey it, we get the flow; if we strangle it, we cut it off.” The problem is not in the supply; there is abundance awaiting everyone on earth. God did not put vast multitudes of people on this earth to scramble for a limited supply, as though He were unable to provide enough for all. There is nothing in this world which men desire and struggle for, and that is good for them, of which there is not enough for everybody.

If you would attract good fortune you must get rid of doubt. You must have faith. No man can make a fortune while he is convinced that he can’t. The “I can’t” philosophy has destroyed many dreams and destinies. Confidence is the magic key that unlocks the door of supply. If you desire success, you must think success, you must think upward. You must think progressively, creatively, constructively, inventively, and, above all, optimistically.

“You will go in the direction in which you face. If you look towards poverty, towards lack, you will go that way. If, on the other hand, you turn squarely around and refuse to have anything to do with poverty,–to think it,–live it, or recognize it–you will then begin to make progress towards the goal of plenty.”

16 Bible Verses That Prove God Is Willing To Provide For You

Our God has unlimited avenues and unusual ways of providing that extend beyond our natural limitations. All we need do is trust Him. Here are a few scriptures we should meditate and key into.

1. Genesis 22:1-14: Jehovah Jireh—the Lord will provide. Verse 14: “And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.”

2. Leviticus 26:4-5, 9-10 (AMP): “I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase and the trees of the field yield their fruit. And your threshing [time] shall reach to the vintage and the vintage [time] shall reach to the sowing time, and you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely. …For I will be leaning toward you with favor and regard for you, rendering you fruitful, multiplying you, and establishing and ratifying My covenant with you. And you shall eat the [abundant] old store of produce long kept, and clear out the old [to make room] for the new.”

3. Deuteronomy 28:8, 11-12 (AMP): “The Lord shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouse and in all that you undertake. And He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you. …And the Lord shall make you have surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.”

4. 1 Samuel 2:8 (AMP): “He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts up the needy from the ash heap [NLT—garbage dump], to make them sit with nobles and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He has set the world upon them.”

5. Psalm 23:1, 5 (AMP): “The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.… You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.”

6. Psalm 34:10 (AMP): “The young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord [by right of their need and on the authority of His Word], none of them shall lack any beneficial thing.”

7. Psalm 36:7-9 (AMP): “How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge and put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They relish and feast on the abundance of Your own house; and You cause them to drink of the stream of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light.”

8. Psalm 66:12: “Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.”

9. Psalm 68:19: “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”

10. Psalm 85:12 (AMP): “Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.”

11. Psalm 115:14-15: “The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.”

12. Malachi 3:10 (AMP): “Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

13. 2 Corinthians 9:8-12 (AMP): “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever! And [God] who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness and charity]. Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God. For the service that the ministering of this fund renders does not only fully supply what is lacking to the saints (God’s people), but it also overflows in many [cries of] thanksgiving to God.”

14. Philippians 4:19 (AMP/Greek paraphrase): My God will liberally supply, fill to the full, cram, furnish, satisfy, finish and complete all of your needs, employment, requirements, lack and business according to His riches, His wealth, His money and His possessions in glory by Christ Jesus.

15. 1 Timothy 6:17 (AMP): “As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be proud, arrogant and contemptuous of others, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God, Who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for [our] enjoyment.”

16. 2 Peter 1:3: “…His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”

6 Biblical Principles For Success

1. Walking in truth:
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” III John 1.
“If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” John 8:31-32
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee…” Deuteronomy 28:1-2.(KJV)
“Who then are those who fear the Lord? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose. They will spend their days in prosperity..” Psalms 25:12-13

2. Faithfulness:
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
“Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right” Psalms 106:3 “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him….” II Chronicles 16:9 “a faithful man shall abound with blessings.” Proverbs 28:20

3. Diligence:
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:20-23 (KJV)
“…He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” Hebrews 11:6
“The hand of the diligent maketh rich.” Proverbs 10:4 (KJV)

4. Tithing:
“Honour the Lord with your capital and sufficiency.and with the first fruits of all your income; so shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine” Proverbs 3:9-10 (The Amplified Bible).
“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord.” Leviticus 27:30
Bring all the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, “Says the Lord Almighty,” and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it Malachi 3:10.

5. Giving:
“He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” II Corinthians 9:6 (KJV)
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” Luke 6:38
Be not deceived God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:7

6. Faith:
“…The just shall live by faith” Romans 1:17 (KJV)
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” II Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)
“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” Mark 11:23 (KJV)
