Part of today belongs to tomorrow, as the seed belongs to the shoot, as the foundation belongs to the building. So today owes its best to tomorrow, if you fail to do right today you may ruin tomorrow. But the reverse is not true.
Tomorrow cannot ruin today. Time’s wheel does not run backward. Banish, then, every thought or tendency to procrastinate, and fill today with faithful work, with kindness and courage and hope; and so you will keep tomorrow from being a bad one, and make it a good, honest today when it comes.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28
No matter how black the outlook, or how rusty your environment is, positively refuse to see anything that is unfavourable to you. Refuse to see the obstacles. Refuse to see any condition which wants to enslave you and keep you from rising above your environment, or keep you from living the life of your dreams. Know that all things will surely workout in your favour if you step out in faith.
Don’t forget this today; no matter how many bends a road may have; there is always one smooth, straight portion. So “if you are going through hell, keep going”, because just somewhere around the corner, you are breaking forth, and you will make your mark in this life.
A day makes a lot of difference in our lives. If you are having a difficult day, never give up and think your life is a difficult one, it’s just one day! If you endure till the breaking of a new one, you will see that most of your problems have passed along with the previous one miraculously.
One of the biggest causes of anxiety in my opinion is a lack of purpose in life. I remember back then when I hadn’t discovered my life’s purpose how anxious I always was.
Although I was working and earning a living, I felt like I had a vacuum I needed to fill. The salary wasn’t bringing me any satisfaction, going to work was always a drag. And while I was doing well physically and in the eyes of the public, I was dying on my inside.
I knew I could be better, I knew I was missing something but just didn’t know what it was.
Then after a thorough inward search, and praying to God for a meaningful life, I discovered my calling of sharing messages of hope and inspiration to others, and helping people overcome their setbacks and adversity to achieve success in their lives and business/careers.
After discovering my purpose, I had another hurdle to overcome; the courage to leave the work I was doing to focus on my true calling.
I had the challenge of family, friends and society who thought I was crazy. I was confronted with questions like, “how will Motivational speaking put food on your table?” “how can you leave a government job with so much security?” “You don’t even have an MBA or a PhD and you want to help people succeed?” “Who will care about your life story to learn from it?” Continue reading 15 Quotes on The Importance Of Purpose in Life→
How amazing God is. Think about this; “I am not just a God of awesome power, a God who decides who should be rewarded and who should be punished. That is what human rulers do. I am a God of second chances. I understand that human beings can’t be perfect. I help people so that they don’t repeat next year the same mistakes they made last year. I give people the amazing ability to be somebody different next year than they were this past year. I am a God who helps people in difficulty, not by making their path smooth and easy but by holding their hand as they walk a difficult path, not by taking away their problems but by giving them qualities they didn’t believe they were capable of, so that they can deal with the problems themselves. You yourself become the answer to your prayer.”
“We can complain that the rose has bushes, have thorns or we can complain that thorns have roses.” – Abraham Lincoln
Like the thorns are always parts of the rose flower, so are problems part of life. There isn’t a life without some form of problem or the other. But some of us have made it habitual to complain about our problems. We are always seeking friends, family and church to complain to. In my country today many people are always seeking for prophets and “prayer warriors” to eliminate problems, failing to understand that a problem free person is a dead person.
