Contrary to the beliefs of a lot of folks, it isn’t their lack of money, lack of skills, hard luck, or lack of connections that is responsible for their mediocre results. Rather it is simply a lack of persistence. Too many people give too soon.

Persistence is a very important quality we must possess if we are to reach our destined heights in life. There are several scriptures of the Bible that stress the importance of persistence in the work of God. One of such is 1 Corinthians 15: 58: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. The Better Thing
It is better to lose with a conscience clean than to win by a trick unfair;
It is better to fail and to know you’ve been, Whatever the prize was, square, than to claim the joy of a far-off goal And the cheers of the standers-by, and to know down deep in your inmost soul A cheat you must live and die.
Who wins by trick can take the prize, and at first he may think it sweet, But many a day in the future lies When he’ll wish he had met defeat.
For the man who lost shall be glad at heart and walk with his head up high. While his conqueror knows he must play the part of a cheat and a living lie. Continue reading Winning: At What Cost?

The Battle Must Be Fought

Each one of us is a warrior in our own right. We are the warriors of life and life is an eternal battle. We choose to enter the battlefield from the day we are born. We are committed to win the battle of life. Just like a warrior in the midst of the fierce fight, there is no way out. He can choose to fight courageously to ensure his survival and victory, or he can choose to get killed. We do not have to like the fight. We simply have to fight to the best of our abilities. To survive in life, we have to confront the inner negativities and the outer realities. – Chin-Ning Chu

A god is a genius. God made everyone of us a genius, but its amazing how so many of us are living far below our potentials because we don’t know and do what we want with our lives.
Growing up my parents would always tell me; you have to come tops in class. And when I fail to do so, I would be asked; the boy or girl that came tops, how many heads does he or she have? He is just like you. Yes all the geniuses around aren’t any different from us. They are humans who know what they want to do with their lives and do it.
Tiger Woods, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Aliko Dangote, Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Rafael Nadal…they are expressing their genius. They are living the life they were born to live. They cannot do anything else – little wonder they are so successful!
Folks genius isn’t only found among the great. You have genius in you. You have unique talents, abilities and values that only you can bring into greatness. You have a destiny that only you can fulfil.

Learn how to express your own genius by studying and following these characteristics of people who are expressing their genius today:

1- Passion: they love what they do. Even if they weren’t getting paid, they would do it for free. Ask yourself; What do I love to do? What activities give me satisfaction? What are my hobbies? What is my secret ambition?

2- Talent: people who are expressing their genius are good at what they do. Call it talent, ability, or genius – they’ve got it in them. Ask yourself: What am I good at? What do I get complimented on? Where have I excelled in the past? Where have I been successful?

So many people have died with their potentials in them because they didn’t know they’ve got it.
Discover your genius and begin expressing it. Don’t die with your song in you!
